Adjust Your Chair (Or Ask for a Better One)
You should be able to comfortably adjust the height of your desk chair so that your knees are horizontal to your thighs and your feet rest comfortably on the floor or a solid surface below. Stop Looking Down
Smartphones and tablets have people spending more time with their necks bent forward and downward than ever before. If you can, use your computer as much as possible when you’re at work and make sure that your monitor is at a comfortable height so that you can simply look at the screen without having to strain your neck in any way.
Take Breaks
You’re allowed to get up from your desk and walk around. Taking a lap around the office a few times a day can do wonders for your back pain and overall comfort. It also helps your circulation and energy levels, so there’s a benefit there, as well. There is no benefit that can come from sitting in a chair for more than an hour or two at a time and that’s only going to lead to discomfort.
